The Great Wall & Prohibited City

The Great Wall is not only the magnum opus of the human being, but also the soul of China! On the peak of The Great Wall, you cannot see its beginning, nor its end. It disappears beyond. So many people climbed it, survived the Great Wall, felt inspired, sang the praises of it and gasped in admiration… The Great Wall is one of the wonders of the world that was created by human beings. If you go to China without climbing The Great Wall, you might as well go to Paris without visiting The Eiffel Tower, orgo to Egypt and skip the Pyramids! It is often said: "The man who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true man."

    Legend:

Long ago, legend has it that a boy named Dage was deeply in love with Woluo Semo, a beautiful goddess. One day, Dage gave his love a gift – a mirror made out of wind. It turned out that, because of interference of an unexpected evil, the goddess broke the mirror, and pieces scattered on the human world and turned into 114 crystal-clear and gem-like lakes, inlaid among the mountain forests. Henceforth, here w e have Jiuzhaigou, the Fairyland on Earth.

    Yellow Dragon, walks with pandas

Yellow Dragon, situated in Sichuan Province, was established as a Chinese national scenic area in 1982. Huanglong literally means Yellow Dragon. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1992. Here is the brief description from World Heritage :

"Situated in the northwest of Sichuan Province, the Huanglong valley is made up of snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. In addition to its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be found, as well as spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. The area also has a population of endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey."

The Yellow Dragon Scenic Area is famous for its colored ponds, snow mountains, and fascinating canyons and forests. From the bottom of Yellow Dragon Valley (2,000 meters above sea level) to the top of the mountain (3,800 meters above sea level) are subtropical evergreen forests, deciduous and broad leaf forests, broad leaf and coniferous forests, sub-highland coniferous

forests and highland brushes and grassland. It is also the home to dozens of rare animals, such as the giant panda and golden monkey.

Water is the soul of Huanglong. The melting snow water from the mountain enriched with the limestone water from underground flows down the valley. The over 3,000 colored ponds in the valley are not only formed by deposition of the calcium carbonate of the limestone water on the rocks and branches, but also brought into life by the live sparkling streams.

Let's go to Yellow Dragon to enjoy its majestic, spectacular, fantastic and wild scenes.
