    Invitation from Dr. Xie

    Dear Colleagues,

The 14th Annual International Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Conference will be held in Su-zhou, China, from October 27 to 30, 2012. Su-zhou is located 2 hours west of Shang-hai, and is one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions and convention locations.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), the China National Society of TCVM, and the Chi Institute. This is the first time that the International TCVM Conference coincides with the CVMA convention. Over 5,000 Chinese veterinarians are expected to participate in the CVMA convention. Thus, you will have a great opportunity to meet Chinese conventional and TCVM practitioners with whom you can share professional and personal vision and experience.

I am so happy to announce that the TCVM track includes 20 of the leading TCVM practitioners and researchers from all over the world presenting a wide variety of lectures on current areas of interest for all TCVM practitioners. Some speakers were my professors, including Dr. Jingrong He from Beijing Veterinary Medical School. The main topics include TCVM for Intervertebral Disk Disease and Other Neurological Disorders; Osteodystrophy and Arthritis; Cardiomyopathy; Cholangiohepatitis; Inflammatory Bowel Disease; Acupuncture and Herbal Adverse Effects and Safety Control; Infertility; Laminitis; and Lameness in Dogs, Cats, Horses and Cows. The whole program is attached so you can see what great classes are available.

Please notice that the pre-conference tour will be from October 20 to October 26 at Gu-lin, Shang-hai and Su-zhou. We will experience TCM food therapy, massage, and see how to make acupuncture needles, in addition to the tremendous and excellent beautiful sightseeing. As usual, Dr. Xiaolin Deng, OMD, will be the team TCM physician to prevent and treat any illness you might experience. I will lead the tai-ji every morning. The detailed information on the tour is listed in Appendix II.

Are you excited as I am? Hope I will meet you in person in October in China.
