While in China teaching for the Small Animal Acupuncture course, Lindsey Wedemeyer MA, VetMB, CVA, CVCH, CVFT, CVTP, MRCVS, presented and defended her thesis as the final step in earning her Master’s degree in TCVM. “My thesis is about the significance of Yuan Heng Liao Ma Ji in TCVM and world veterinary medicine,” Dr. Wedemeyer told us.

Yuan Heng Liao Ma Ji (Yuan-Heng's Therapeutic Treatise on Horses) is a book that was originally written in 1608. It describes many herbal formulas still used to this day, and many sold through Jing Tang, and reveals how advanced TCVM was compared to conventional veterinary medicine at this point in history. Dr. Wedemeyer was also involved in the recent translation of the book into English for the first time.

"I am happy to have completed the process for the Master's degree," said Dr. Wedemeyer.
