    Meet the Lab Horses
All of our horses have been adopted from homes that could no longer care for them. They enjoy the love and respect of their new caregivers and provide our students with great wetlab subjects. Many of their ailments have disappeared thanks to treatment with Acupuncture and Chinese herbals.
Rahnok -- Grey, Egyptian bred Arab mare,9 years old. This is our farm model for any acupuncture point photographs and is also the class clown. Rahnoks only health concern is that she sees grain and gains weight. Her nick- name is ‘Angel horse’ as given by Helenea, she could look like postcard if there were wings on her back!
Mekah -- Bay, Arab mare, Polish bloodlines,15 years old. Mekahs arrived in a state of immune deficiency. She has since blossomed into a beautiful horse, thank to treatment with Chinese herbals and much TLC.
Ming Ming -- Flea bitten grey, halfbreed Arab- Morgan mare, 14 years old. Ming Ming has lameness issues and has always been one of our best class horses. Her temperament is very mellow and she is an easy keeper and always on a diet. Dr. Xie's daughter, Sherrie, thought she looked like an Indian pony and nicknamed her 'Maya'.
Yang Yang - Bay, Paso Fino gelding, 14 year old. He is responding well to treatment for chronic lameness with Chinese herbals. Yang Yang is a great school horse for his pleasant nature. Sam calls him Lucero or his 'Shining Star'.
Molly -– Chestnut, Thoroughbred mare,13 year old. Molly is a recent addition to the farm. As a two year old she suffered an injury and lost sight in one of her eyes. Over the years, Molly has had problems with chronic lameness. We hope that she will respond well to our care.
Luciano -– Chestnut gelding yearling Thorobred named by the opera signer because his nicker has a beautiful wonderful tone. Molly (below) is his mother and “Lu” is very kind and sweet. He has grown so fast and has some lameness issues because of this.
