The CHI Institute of Chinese Medicine, Inc, was founded in Reddick, Florida 1998. The mission of the Chi Institute is to train our students to become competent animal health care providers, capable of practicing acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and other Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) skills. The Chi Institute the leading veterinary continuing education (C.E.) provider of TCVM. All the C.E. programs have been approved by the State of Florida and RACE.

TCVM training programs we offer include: Small Animal Acupuncture, Equine Acupuncture and Mixed Practice Acupuncture, TCVM Clinical Approach/Chinese Herbology, Veterinary Tui-na, Classical Acupoints & TCVM Diagnosis, Advanced TCVM Training in China, and Master Degree of TCVM. These programs have been endorsed by the China National Society of TCVM, China, and the Southwest China Agricultural University.

Over 1200 licensed veterinarians have graduated from the Chi Institute as of July 2007. They are now active and competent TCVM practitioners in USA , Europe and Japan.

The cheif instructor of the Chi Institute is Dr. Shen Huisheng Xie.
