Dr. Xie received his DVM at the Sichuan College
of Veterinary Medicine in China in 1983.
In 1988, he received his Master of Science in
Veterinary Acupuncture. In 1999, he received
his Ph.D. from the University of Florida (UF)
for his investigation of the mechanisms of pain
control in horses by using acupuncture. He is the
Director of Veterinary Acupuncture Internship
Program at the Veterinary Medical Center of the UF. Dr. Xie has lectured
on veterinary acupuncture and herbal medicine nationally and
internationally, and is the author of 12 books and over 100 scientific
papers on TCVM. His 25 years of TCVM teaching experience (over
3000 students) has provided him with a clear vision of how to create
a curriculum for western veterinarians to learn acupuncture. |
