21st Annual International Conference on TCVM Overview

The 2019 Annual International Conference on TCVM will take place in the beautiful and historic city of Shanghai, China on August 30 to September 2, 2019. The conference theme will center around clinical application of TCVM in dogs, cats, exotics and horses. Past conferences have been hosted in China, Spain, Canada and the USA. This International TCVM Conference is hosted by the Chi Institute and co-sponsored by the World Association of TCVM. The Annual TCVM Conference has been conducted every year since 1999. It provides a great opportunity for veterinarians to learn from the top TCVM experts, meet TCVM practitioners from all over the world, and enjoy hands-on experience in TCVM. Additionally, TCVM practitioners and research scientists from around the world are invited to speak about their clinical experiences and research findings.

We are now accepting papers and abstracts to be presented during the 21st Annual Conference. If you are interested in participating, please read the section below, Call for Papers, carefully.

Call for Abstracts 

We are very pleased to invite TCVM practitioners and clinical researchers to submit abstracts for presentation during the 21st International Convention on TCVM (ICTCVM), held at Shanghai, China, from August 30 to September 2, 2019. The main theme of this conference will be the clinical application of TCVM in dogs, cats, exotics and horses. This International TCVM Conference will be co-held with the first China Clinician’s Conference on TCVM (CCC-TCVM) and co-sponsored by the World Association of TCVM and Chi Institute.

Presentation Categories
You may span multiple topics – please indicate all applicable categories when submitting your abstract.

  • Clinical Research including any study on efficacy or safety/side effect of any TCVM therapeutic, clinically randomized and controlled studies, or a retrospective study of a series of cases of a disease or syndrome. This is a 30-minute presentation.
  • Clinical Application including any new acupuncture techniques/methods, herbal formulas, or Tui-na/food therapy in dogs, cats or horses. This is a 30-minute presentation.
  • "How to" including pearls and clinical tips of how to diagnose and/or treat a disease or medical condition/syndrome in dogs, cats or horses. This is a 30-minute presentation.
  • A Case Study including any unique or special case study in dogs, cats, horses, or other species. This is a 10-minute presentation.

Presentation Awards
Each selected presentation will be awarded $300 for 30-minute and $150 for 10-minute presentations. The awards will be subtracted from the conference registration dues. The detailed information on this conference can be found at www.tcvm.com. A certificate will be awarded to the first place recipient in each category.

Abstract Format

The abstract must be submitted in a single-spaced Microsoft Word document and must be no more than two pages in length. Abstracts may be sent by e-mail as an attachment identified as "Abstract TCVM Conference" in the e-mail subject line. The abstract must include the following items:

E-mail your Word Document as an attachment to lisa@tcvm.com. Abstracts must be received electronically no later than 11:59 PM (CDT) on December 31st, 2018. You will receive notification by e-mail that your abstract has been received. Please advise if the acknowledgement is not received within 5 days of submission. Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be e-mailed by February 1st, 2019.
