Course Overview

Certified Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) is a CE course for veterinary clinics using acupuncture and other related business, which is approved by the world veterinary industry. It’s widely accepted in North America, Europe, Australia and other countries and regions, and also certified by International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (WATCVM). This course is taught in Chinese with partially subtitled translations in English. Students are required to fluently speak Chinese.

国际兽医针灸师资格认证是兽医诊所开展针灸相关业务的许可资质,被世界兽医行业所认可,广泛适用于北美、欧洲、澳大利亚等国家和地区,并被国际兽医针灸协会(International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, IVAS)和世界中兽医协会(World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, WATCVM)所认证。

To enroll in this course, you must either be a licensed veterinarian or have completed at least one year of school at an accredited College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) by the start date of the course, and be fluent in English. This course has 5 sessions, after finishing all the required courses and passing the quizzes, students are eligible for the Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist certification endorsed by the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

本项目仅限中国大陆地区的兽医和兽医院校相关专业的学生报名,要求学员英语听说流利。本课程共五个学习模块。完成全部课程且考试合格后,授予Chi Institute(佛罗里达中兽医学院)所颁发的国际兽医针灸师资格认证 (CVA)。

Goal 学习目标

After finishing this course, students should master the following skills:

  • Definition and description 120 commonly used acupoints in cat and dog
  • Understand and master following TCVM basic knowledge: Yin Yang, Five Elements, Zang-Fu Physiology and Pathology, Meridians and Channels, Essence, Qi, Shen, Blood and Body Fluids
  • Master special TCVM diagnosis methods: Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis, Etiology and Pathology, Eight Principles and Zang-fu Patterns
  • Integrating TCVM fundamental theory with acupuncture in clinical practice (cat and dog)
  • Integrating TCVM and Conventional Medicine to diagnose and treat diseases, such as musculoskeletal conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders, neurological disorders, reproductive disorders, behavioral problems and skin problems
